Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the fair on Saturday at Dhaka's Bangabandhu International Conference Centre.

This year, 12 countries are displaying their goods before the local and international buyers.

The Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) and the Ministry of Commerce are jointly organising Bangladesh's biggest trade exposition.

India, Pakistan, China, Malaysia, Iran, South Korea, Thailand, US, UK, Turkey and Singapore are taking part in the fair, apart from Bangladesh.

The fair usually starts on Jan 1 every year. But this time it was delayed by 10 days due to non-stop agitation by the BNP and its allies.

Entry fee for each person has been fixed at Tk 30. There are 96 pavilions, 49 mini pavilions and 316
